This Refund Policy sets out the withdrawal of subscription, the method of requesting a refund, and the processing criteria for the paid subscription (monthly recurring subscription) products and one-time purchase products of the Dillie service (hereinafter “the Service”) provided by Gravity8 Inc. (hereinafter “the Company”).
This Policy has been prepared in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. (Korea), the Content Industry Promotion Act (Korea), the Content User Protection Guidelines (Korea), and the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions (Korea), and applies together with the Terms of Service of the Service.
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Policy is to protect the rights and interests of Users and to prevent disputes by clarifying the requirements, scope, procedures, and processing methods for refunds where a User, after paying for a paid subscription product or a one-time purchase product of the Service, withdraws the subscription or terminates the subscription before the end of its term.
Article 2 (Withdrawal of Subscription)
Pursuant to Article 17 of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. (Korea), a User may, within 7 days from the payment date of a paid subscription product, exercise the withdrawal of subscription (cancellation of offer; hereinafter “withdrawal”) and receive a refund of the full amount paid.
However, even within the period in which withdrawal is available, a full refund is granted only where the User has not actually used the paid services included in the relevant subscription product (content downloads, paid add-on features, etc.). Where the User has used the Service, the scope of the refund is governed by Article 3 and Article 4.
The withdrawal period starts on the date on which payment was completed and the charge was approved, and that date is included in the calculation.
Article 3 (Restrictions on Withdrawal)
In any of the following cases, pursuant to Article 17(2) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. (Korea) and Article 21 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act, the User may not exercise withdrawal without the consent of the Company.
- Where the goods, etc. have been lost or damaged for reasons attributable to the User (excluding cases where the packaging, etc. has been damaged in order to check the contents of the goods, etc.)
- Where the value of the goods, etc. has significantly decreased due to the User’s use or partial consumption
- Where the value of the goods, etc. has significantly decreased with the passage of time to the extent that resale is difficult
- Where the provision of reproducible digital content (storage expansion, premium add-on features, etc. provided during the subscription period) has commenced
Exception for Divisible Content
Where a subscription product consists of multiple service items (divisible content) and the provision of only some of them has commenced, withdrawal is available, in accordance with the purpose of the Content User Protection Guidelines (Korea), for the remaining portion whose provision has not yet commenced.
In this case, the Company refunds the remaining amount after deducting the usage fee corresponding to the portion whose provision has commenced.
Prior Notice of Restrictions on Withdrawal
For paid services for which withdrawal is restricted, the Company clearly notifies the User of that fact in advance on the payment screen, and any restriction on withdrawal made without such notice is void.
Article 4 (Early Termination of Subscription Services and Refunds)
Even where the withdrawal period under Article 2 (7 days) has elapsed, or where the User is not eligible for a full refund because the User has used the Service, the User may at any time terminate the subscription early and request a refund for the remaining usage period. In this case, the refund is paid after deducting the fee for the period of actual use and a prescribed penalty in accordance with the calculation criteria below.
Refund Calculation for Monthly Recurring Subscription Products
Where a User terminates early a subscription product paid on a monthly basis, the refund amount is calculated as follows.
Refund amount = Payment amount − (Payment amount ÷ Total number of days in the billing month × Number of days actually used × 1.1) − Amount equivalent to the payment processing fee
In the above formula, “number of days actually used” means the number of days from the payment date (inclusive) to the date of the termination request (inclusive), and the deduction is made by adding 10/100 to the pro-rated regular fee as a penalty. However, if the total amount deducted exceeds the payment amount, the refund amount is 0 KRW.
Refund Calculation for Multi-User (Team) Subscriptions
Where multiple user seats have been paid for on a workspace basis, the refund amount is the sum obtained by applying the above calculation criteria to each seat separately. For seats newly added after the date of the termination request, the refund is calculated separately using the payment date of the relevant seat as the starting date.
Article 5 (Refunds for One-Time Purchase Products)
This Article applies to products paid for on a one-time basis independently of a subscription (hereinafter “one-time purchase products”). Products consumed according to usage, such as AI credit top-ups, fall into this category.
Refund of Unused Portion
The User may request withdrawal within 7 days from the payment date, and if the topped-up quantity has not been used at all, the full payment amount is refunded.
Where part of it has been used, it is treated as divisible content in accordance with the Content User Protection Guidelines (Korea), and the amount corresponding to the remaining quantity is refunded. The refund amount is calculated as follows.
Refund amount = Payment amount × (Remaining quantity ÷ Purchased quantity) − Amount equivalent to the payment processing fee
Used Portion
Quantities already consumed are regarded as services whose provision has been completed and are excluded from refunds. The Company clearly notifies the User of this fact in advance on the payment screen.
Article 6 (How to Request a Refund)
A User who wishes to receive a refund may request it through the [Settings > Billing & Subscription] menu within the Service or through the customer center below.
- Customer center phone: 070-8892-7788
- Customer center email: support@dillie.work
When requesting a refund, please provide the following information for prompt processing: the payer’s name (or workspace name), the registered account (email), the payment date and payment method, and the reason for the refund.
Article 7 (Refund Processing Period and Method)
Within 3 business days from the date of receiving the User’s refund request, the Company confirms whether the request is eligible for a refund and the refund amount, and notifies the User.
Refunds are, in principle, made by the same method as that used to pay the charge. Where payment was made by credit card, the refund is processed by canceling the card approval, and depending on the card company, it may take 3 to 5 business days for the cancellation to be reflected. Where payment was made by bank transfer, virtual account, or similar, the refund is made to an account in the User’s own name designated by the User, and is paid within 3 business days from the date on which confirmation is completed.
Pursuant to Article 18 of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. (Korea), the Company shall not delay the refund of the charge already received beyond 3 business days from the date of receiving the User’s expression of intent to withdraw. However, if the User delays providing the information required for a refund for each payment method (such as an account number), the refund processing may be delayed by the length of that delay.
Article 8 (Free Trials and Promotions)
Usage periods and amounts provided by the Company free of charge or at a discount through free trials, promotional discounts, credit grants, and similar means are not payment of a charge and are therefore not subject to refund.
Where a product scheduled to convert to a paid plan during a free trial period is automatically charged because the User did not separately cancel it, the User may request a full refund within the withdrawal period under Article 2 (7 days) from the payment date, on condition that the User has not used the Service.
Where a User terminates early a subscription product paid at a price discounted from the regular price through a promotion or similar, the regular fee for the period of actual use in the refund calculation under Article 4 is calculated based on the regular price without the promotion applied.
Article 9 (Refunds and Compensation for Service Disruptions Attributable to the Company)
Where the Service has not been provided normally for a considerable period of time for reasons attributable to the Company (excluding scheduled maintenance and disruptions caused by reasons attributable to the User or a third party), the Company provides compensation or a refund in accordance with the following criteria.
- Where the Service is unavailable for 4 or more consecutive hours or for a cumulative total of 6 or more hours in a month, the Company extends the relevant subscription period free of charge in proportion to the duration of the disruption.
- Where the User wishes to receive a refund instead of an extension, the Company refunds the usage fee corresponding to the period of the disruption, calculated on a pro-rata daily basis.
- This Article does not apply where the cause is not attributable to the Company, such as natural disasters, suspension of service by a facilities-based telecommunications business operator under the Telecommunications Business Act, or disruptions caused by the intent or negligence of the User or a third party.
